Usually raved for their purity and high quality, and it tells a story about its origin. Most single origin beans will brew a clean and crisp cup of coffee. Most popularly used with non milk based drinks, although that hasn't been the case with more modern coffee shops that constantly looking to improve each cup of coffee.
Blends:
These coffees comprise of multiple beans of different origins, which produces a flavor of combined features. Blends are often used to balance the flavors and they pack a gentler taste.
Conclusion:
Neither is "BEST" per se, but with single origins beans, you're almost always guaranteed a high quality batch. Many roasters make blends to cut costs and or try to make a more balanced taste that often creates a pretty boring cup of joe.
